Fundraising at a Distance
2020 has brought with it some special set of challenges for our youth programs. The COVID-19 Global Pandemic has brought the term “Social Distancing” to the forefront and we all are doing our part to slow the spread of the virus.
We are all dealing with a variety of municipal, state, national government, and organizational guidelines for our groups. Honor with Flags can and has been successful in this environment, continuing to bring the American Flag to our communities.
Honor with Flags operations are already compliant with social distancing efforts:
Customers: Online ordering and no contact when flags are placed and picked up in their yards.
Volunteers: Pick up and drop off of flags in storage can be individually scheduled. Gloves are recommended for handling of flags, not only to slow the spread of the virus, but to protect hands from dirt and heat.
Coordinators: Online scheduling of pick up and drop off, storage access, and distribution/collection of flags can be done from a distance.
Flags/Poles: During their time out waving in our communities, the flags and poles are exposed to UV and heat of the sun.
We continue to Honor with Flags from a safe distance.
